BUILDING 390

ARSENAL MUSEUM

ROCK ISLAND, IL

Artisan Consulting Engineers was tasked to perform civil engineering and land surveying services associated with the design/build and reconstruction of Building 390 Museum Walk and Reception Area Reconfiguration. This project was located at the Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island Illinois for the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

 

Artisan prepared conceptual site plans. After approval of conceptual plans, site construction engineering plans were prepared. This redesign included ADA (IL Accessibility Code Compliant) accessible ramps, sidewalks and entrance re-design that included planters boxes and steps. The covered drop off area in front of building included a design that consisted of, off the street pedestrian drop off points, a grass and plant filled island and six ADA accessible entrance points.  Design meetings with USACOE personnel were conducted. Grading and drainage plans were also provided. Stormwater reports and analysis including detention calculations and routing summaries were provided. Along with construction staking, monitoring and observations were completed by Artisan followed up by complete as-built drawings for all site improvements per the strict USACOE standards.
